Aquacel Ag Advantage Advanced Antimicrobial Dressing with Hydrofiber, 6" x 6", is a sterile primary wound dressing designed for the management of chronic and acute wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. The dressing combines advanced Hydrofiber technology with ionic silver, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt (EDTA), and benzethonium chloride (BEC) to provide broad antimicrobial protection while supporting an optimal healing environment. 

The Hydrofiber material rapidly absorbs wound exudate and transforms into a soft cohesive gel that conforms closely to the wound bed. This gel formation helps maintain a moist wound environment that supports natural tissue repair while minimizing discomfort during dressing changes. The dressing effectively manages varying exudate levels and promotes intimate contact with the wound surface, reducing dead space where microorganisms may proliferate.

Advanced antimicrobial technology combines ionic silver with EDTA and BEC to enhance the antimicrobial performance of the dressing. The dressing locks wound exudate and bacteria within the gel structure, helping reduce the risk of cross-contamination and minimizing the harmful effects of maceration on surrounding healthy skin.
